ILANN M. MAAZEL

Hailed for his “delicacy, sensitivity, fascinating musicality, and virtuosity” by the Cologne Stadt-Anzeiger, Ilann has performed in recital and chamber music concerts throughout Germany, Italy, The Netherlands, and in the music capitals of the United States, including Washington, D.C., Boston, and New York City’s Lincoln Center. After college, Ilann went on a 4-hands tour of Europe with pianist Alex Solomon, performing in concert halls, churches, castles, and the occasional tapas bar.

Ilann and his mom, the pianist Israela Margalit, recorded a 4-hands CD of the complete Brahms Hungarian Dances and Waltzes, released by Universal Classics & Jazz and re-released by Decca.

Ilann studied at the Cleveland Institute, then with Ronit Amir Lowenthal (his primary teacher), Tong-Il Han, and Ann Schein at the Aspen Music School.
